Leucorrhoea: It is a very common health issue among the adolescent girls or the pregnant women. In this, they experience a white or yellowish colored watery discharge from the vagina. It is considered to be normal, if it is without any foul smell and irritation. About 60% of females are facing the leucorrhea and 35% out of them are not actually aware about this issue. It can occur in any age groups of females. It is not always considered as the health disorder because sometimes it does good for the functionality of the vagina also.
Leucorrhoea may be caused due to the infections with the bacteria, yeast, and any other kinds of microorganisms. It can also be due to the hormonal imbalance especially of estrogen hormones in the female body. When an individual is suffering from any sexually transmitted disease, then it might be the cause of the physiological Leucorrhoea which is also refers as the estrogen stimulation. Improper hygiene of the vaginal region, poor diet, diabetes, anaemia may also lead to Leucorrhoea.
In Leucorrhoea, it is found that the amount of white discharge goes on increasing with the increase in the vaginal infection. Females suffering from Leucorrhoea experiences some symptoms like thick, yellowish or white vaginal discharge,feeling of sensation in the abdomen, frequent headache, constipation etc. but if we fail to get treated all the above mentioned symptoms then it may result in the severe case of irritability, dark brown patches under eyes, burning sensation in hands and feet.
For treating the Leucorrhoea, first you must know the actual difference between the normal white discharge and the Leucorrhoea. Later on if you found that the symptoms are getting worse with the time then it should get treated. The modern science provides various treatment to control the vaginal discharge that includes the treatment for sexually transmitted disorders, some kinds of antibiotics are also available to deal with this issue like metronidazole, clindamycin or tinidazole.
